Accounting Manager

Our client is one of the leaders in its field. They have operations in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas and employ more than 1.600 staff. For their HQ in Rotterdam they are seeking to recruit a Manager Accounting. In this role you will be responsible for the EMEA region and manage 7 staff (AP, AR and GL). The ideal candidate is technically very solid (IFRS, Dutch Gaap is a plus), has managerial experience and experience working with SAP. You will be reporting to the regional Finance Director. The company offers the possibility of partial hybrid work (2 days from home).

• Manage and lead the general accounting functions (AP, AR & GL)
• Manage, mentor and develop a team of accounting staff.
• Manage the monthly financial closing process,
• Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, NL GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants and regulatory authorities.
• Actively participate in finance-related process improvement initiatives and systems upgrade or implementation projects

• Educated to a University degree in Finance or Accounting
• At least 5 years experience of which 3 years in a managerial or supervising capacity
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and preferably local GAAP, working knowledge of SAP is a strong plus
• Experience with project and cost center accounting, reporting tools and consolidation
• Strong communicator, fluent English with the ability to support and convince stakeholders in a multinational environment

100/110k base + benefits + 10% bonus.
