Financial Controller

Our client is a global leader in its field. With a history of 70+ years the company has a long history of success and has established operations in all continents. To strengthen their Finance team they are seeking to recruit a Financial Controller with strong technical skills (IFRS, consolidation) and who is living and working in the Netherlands already and planning to stay here long-term. The role itself is mainly about supporting The Corporate Control team in all her responsibilities. You will report to the Financial Reporting & Consolidation Manager.

• Manage the monthly reporting and consolidation process.
• Train, Instruct and support Finance professionals in all countries involved in the monthly reporting cycle.
• Actively provide support to international finance teams on complex accounting.
• Review monthly reporting packages for completeness and accuracy.
• Supporting the onboarding of newly acquired entities and integrate acquired entities within the group consolidation & reporting structure.
• Support the external audit and communication with the group auditors.
• Identify and drive process improvements.
• Involved in ad-hoc projects.

• Educated to a master’s degree in Business Administration/Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in a consolidation team in a complex international environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• IT Savvy, with the ability to be involved in implementation of new systems.
• Fluent English is a must, any other major language is a plus.
• Proactive, well organized with the ability to work an deliver in a dynamic and sometimes hectic environment.
