Financial Controller

Our client is a very successful start-up in FMCG, based in Amsterdam (city center). Since its inception 6 years ago, the organization has grown rapidly and they are currently the #2 brand in the Benelux in their market. To support further growth, they are seeking to recruit a Financial Controller reporting to the Head of Finance. A fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Financial Controller, who is seeking a challenge in a fast-paced environment. 

As Financial Controller, you'll play a key role regarding the international expansion and professionalization. You will help build structures and processes, and strike the right balance between compliance and scalability. You'll be working closely with the Business Controller and Head of Finance to strengthen the financial spine of the organization and build upon the foundation of the fast-growing scale up. 

Your tasks will be as following:

• You are responsible for the consolidation, transfer pricing, and international tax compliance to further develop the financial internationalization;
• You will implement internal controls, and financial guidelines in preparation for the first audit in 2027;
• You will lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, and prepare clear reports;
• You will monitor and manage the cash position, support liquidity planning, and provide input for cash-flow forecasting;
• You actively contribute to optimizing the financial systems (Exact Online), and future ERP selections. 

• Bachelor / Master degree in Finance/Economics or Accounting; 
• Technically solid, and analytically strong with the ability to provide stakeholders and teams with useful advice;
• Significant experience within Financial Control, preferably in a scale-up, FMCG or international environment;
• A solid financial base, including experience with consolidation, audit preparation, and/or international compliance.

• Salary range between 75K - 80K euros, depending on your profile / experience;
