Financial Controller

Our client is a leading player in its field. The organization is based in Hoofddorp and has activities globally. Due to further growth, they are seeking to recruit a Financial Controller. In this role you will report directly to the Financial Control & Consolidation Manager and provide support to Corporate Controlling.

The Financial Controller forms part of the Finance Team and will be the right hand of the Financial Control & Consolidation Manager. In this role you will:

• Ensure integration of acquired entities within the group consolidation and reporting structure;
• Advise on complex accounting topics and monthly reporting processes;
• Provide Management with critical insights to optimize decision-making;
• Maintain the consolidation system and its integration into Power BI;
• Take on various (ad hoc) projects with a Corporate Finance Scope;
• Maintain and improve the consolidation and reporting process;
• Work closely with your colleagues from other departments;
• Prepare the group annual report and quarterly statements;
• Manage the monthly reporting and consolidation process;
• Maintain the IFRS-based Group Accounting Standards;
• Support Corporate Financial Planning processes;
• Manage the intercompany reconciliation process;
• Perform ad hoc cost- and performance analysis;
• Identify and drive process improvements;
• Provide support during the external audit;
• Ensure adherence to internal controls;
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting;
• Assist in Business Cases.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter and a real teamplayer. You are accurate and proactive, and have strong interpersonal- and communication skills. Other requirements are: 

• BA/MA's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Adminstration or related fields;
• 3/5 years of international experience in accounting, reporting and consolidation;
• Excellent command of the English language (Dutch is a plus);
• Proven experience with global consolidation and reporting;
• Strong organizational and project management skills;
• Candidates must already reside in The Netherlands;
• Affinity with finance systems and software;
• Experience with Power BI is a big plus;
• Solid working knowledge of IFRS.
